Every part, right from the driver choice to the loudspeaker terminals have been carefully selected to make this a truly outstanding sonic and visual delight. Special materials have been used for dampening the inner panels of the cabinet in order to eliminate panel resonance which can color the sound and impair the imaging.

Drivers are mounted flush to the surface of the cabinet which allows for improved dispersion characteristics.

Extensive cabinet crossbracing has been used in the design to reduce cabinet resonance and minimize internal standing waves.

Even the sloped cabinet design, while visually appealing, provides a secondary benefit by helping to eliminate standing waves. Medium density fiberboard was used to construct this robust cabinet. All sides of the cabinet are 1 inch thick consisting of two layers bonded with a shock-absorbing adhesive again to help eliminate cabinet panel resonance.

The components themselves have been selected from the very best available in the world, and carefully matched to ensure the purest and most balanced sound possible. For its drivers, Avalanche has a 6" bass driver and a 1" tweeter which have been tonally matched with its pair driver to ensure the best possible imaging. The crossovers are constructed of the highest quality compents to give you transparency and perfect blending of the drivers.

Avalanche features an optional custom built speaker stand with ample weight to ensure proper acoustic coupling to the floor. The stand includes both spikes and non-abrasive feet for different floor surfaces.
